ABOUT
AIRFARE:
1) Airline fuel surcharge is included in the tour fare. 2) Government tax/fees of about $85-$100 are not included, and must be paid together with the tour fare. 3)The above package price is based on midweek (Mon. through Thu.) travel. If you travel on weekend, there is a surcharge of $40 each way. 4) Airfares of U.S. carriers are NOT refundable. If you need to cancel the trip due to sickness, the airline may refund the airfare if you submit your doctor's note to the airline (subject to approval). 5) Airfares of Japanese airlines are refundable with $200 cancellation penalty. If you need to cancel your trip due to sickness, this cancellation penalty may be waived. INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE PRICE: 1) Round-trip airfare to Tokyo via one of the above airlines (subject to availability of certain class of service). 2) Arrival airport transfer in Tokyo via Airport Limousine Bus. 3) Three nights hotel in Tokyo (Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa or similar). 4) Cityram Tokyo Morning tour. 5) Two nights hotel in Kyoto (New Miyako, Rihga Royal Kyoto or similar). 6) Afternoon tour of Nara, and Morning tour of Kyoto. 7) One last night hotel in Tokyo (same hotel as above). 8) 7-day Japan Rail Pass (coach class). This will cover all long distance trains including departure Narita Express ITINERARY: DAY 1. LEAVE THE U.S. FOR TOKYO. You will depart from your hometown for Tokyo. Crossing the International Date Line you will lose one calendar day; you will gain it back on your return. DAY 2. ARRIVE IN TOKYO. You will arrive at Tokyo's Narita Airport in early afternoon. You will process your Japan Rail Passes at JR (Japan Railways) Narita Airport Station, and then take Airport Limousine Bus to your hotel in downtown Tokyo (3 nights). DAY 3. TOKYO. Enjoy morning tour of Tokyo, visiting Meiji Shrine, Imperial Palace gardens, and Asakusa Kannon Temple. The tour will disband in the Ginza, Tokyo's Fifth Avenue. Afternoon is at your leisure. DAY 4. TOKYO. Whole day is at your leisure in this vibrant city. Option: You can join a full-day tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone National Park, or a full-day tour to Nikko. DAY 5. TOKYO/KYOTO. You will take the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto. You will stay at New Miyako or similar elegant hotel (2 nights). This afternoon you will join a motor coach tour of Nara, Japan's oldest capital prospered in the 8th century. You will visit Todaiji (Great Buddha) Temple, Kasuga Grand Shrine, and Deer Park. You will return to your hotel around 6:00pm. DAY 6. KYOTO. Enjoy a morning motor coach tour of Kyoto, visiting Kyoto Imperial Palace, Nijo Castle and Kinkakuji (Gold Pavilion) Temple. The tour will disband at Kyoto Handicraft Center, and afternoon is at your leisure. Option: You can join Kyoto Afternoon Tour, visiting Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo Hall and Kiyomizu Temple. DAY 7. KYOTO/TOKYO. You will take the Shinkansen bullet train back to Tokyo and return to the same hotel for the last night's stay in Japan.. DAY 8. TOKYO/NARITA/USA. You will take the Narita Express train to Narita Airport. You will fly back to your home town in the U.S. on the same day. |
