Minimum 1 person.

The prices below are based on mid-week (Mon.-Thu.) travel. Weekend travel is
subject to a $40 surcharge each way.
Government tax/fees of about $75-$95 are not included in the tour fare,
and must be paid together with the tour fare.

Hotels: Le Meridien Pacific Tokyo (Tokyo), and New Miyako Hotel (Kyoto).
Meals: No meals are included.
Airport Transfers: Airport Limousine Bus is used for your arrival, and Narita
Express train for your departure.

Inter-City Transportation: 7-day Japan Rail Pass (coach class) is included.
All the trains described in the itinerary can be covered by Japan Rail Pass.

Sightseeing Tours: Motor coach tours with English guide will be arranged in
Tokyo and Kyoto.

Land Only Price: $1,199 per person (double occupancy).
Single supplement: $408.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1. LEAVE THE U.S. FOR TOKYO.
You will depart from your hometown for Tokyo. Crossing the International Date Line you will lose one calendar day; you will gain it back on your return.

DAY 2. ARRIVE IN TOKYO.
You will arrive at Tokyo's Narita Airport in early afternoon. You will process your Japan Rail Passes at JR (Japan Railways) Narita Airport Station, and then take Airport Limousine Bus to Le Meridien Pacific Tokyo (3 nights).

DAY 3. TOKYO.
Enjoy morning tour of Tokyo, visiting Meiji Shrine, Imperial Palace gardens, and Asakusa Kannon Temple. The tour will disband in the Ginza, Tokyo's Fifth Avenue. Afternoon is at your leisure.

DAY 4. TOKYO.
Whole day is at your leisure in this vibrant city.
Option: You can join a full-day tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone National Park, or a full-day tour to Nikko.

DAY 5. TOKYO/KYOTO.
You will take the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto. You will stay at New Miyako Hotel (3 nights). This afternoon you will join a motor coach tour of Nara, Japan's oldest capital prospered in the 8th century. You will visit Todaiji (Great Buddha) Temple, Kasuga Grand Shrine, and Deer Park.

DAY 6. KYOTO.
Enjoy a morning motor coach tour of Kyoto, visiting Kyoto Imperial Palace, Nijo Castle and Kinkakuji (Gold Pavilion) Temple. The tour will disband at Kyoto Handicraft Center, and afternoon is at your leisure.
Option: You can join Kyoto Afternoon Tour, visiting Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo Hall and Kiyomizu Temple.

DAY 7. KYOTO.
Whole day is at your leisure in this historic city.

DAY 8. KYOTO/TOKYO/NARITA/USA.
You will take the Shinkansen bullet train from Kyoto to Tokyo, and then transfer to Narita Express train to Narita Airport. You will return to the U.S. on the same day.
