KYOTO
Japan's most popular tourist destination. Kyoto is only
2 hours and 40 minutes by the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo. Kansai
Airport and Itami Airport are the gateway to Kyoto (as well as to Osaka).
Kyoto was Japan's capital from the 8th through the 19th centuries. World
famous gardens, shrines and temples are located in this city.
OSAKA
Japan's second most important industrial and
commercial city. Osakajo Castle and Universal Studio are two most popular
attractions.

HAKONE
National Park with hot springs. One of the best observatory of Mt. Fuji. You can enjoy a scenic ride of gondola and a cruise across Lake Ashi. Hotels are crowded on weekends and rates are higher accordingly.
TAKAYAMA
Historic city amid deep mountains, famous for its handicrafts and morning market. Most of the city's attractions can be visited on foot.
KANAZAWA
A historic city on Japan Sea. Kazawawa was a home of second powerful feudal lord in the 17th-19th centuries. Kenrokuen Garden is the city's main attraction.

KURASHIKI
About one and a half hours from Kyoto to Okayama by the bullet train, and an additional 15 minutes by commuter train from Okayama to Kurashiki. Historic District is one of the most popular photo targets. The city is also famous for museums, including Ohara Art Museum.
HIROSHIMA
Famous as Peace Memorial City. Sacred Miyajima Island, famous for its Itsukushima Shrine, "floating" torii gate, and tame deer, is an ideal day excursion from Hiroshima. Miyajima is an island near Hiroshima, famous for its Itsukushima Shrine and "floating" torii gate.
